Make-Believe Ballerina

I found the most amazingly cute, brand-new ballet slippers at the second hand baby store this week... and they were in Harper's size!!! Add some tights (in Ballet Pink, of course) and a black leotard and, voilà! We have a dancer!

She was very patient while I got her tiny slippers on...

... but wasn't sure about the fit at first.

Soon she got the hang of things.

We decided to continue the photo shoot on the front porch to improve the lighting.

A ballerina should spend a little time everyday caring for her flowers.

Sometimes I just can't believe how lucky we got.
