Demolition Day

Many of you already know that we have been in a long battle with the City about the removal of two protected and diseased Laurel Oaks from our property, and the subsequent demolition of our detached garage which was completely encroached on by said trees. We were terrified that at any time the west tree and/or garage would collapse, possibly taking us out with them.

After eight long months of haggling, we were granted special permission to remove the trees and garage, and today was the day! Check out these incredible before and after photos!

I cannot get over how GIGANTIC our yard looks now. It will be a huge relief when it's all cleared out and the fencing is back up, but at least the hard part is over. Stay tuned!
